We explore the science, technology and art of the still and moving image, and its impact on our lives.
Starring Jim Broadbent, Le Week-end is a beautifully observed, funny and poignant story about the nature of love and commitment where husband and wife yearn to recapture their youthful fearlessness, lack of responsibility and idealism too.
Penned by Hanif Kureshi and directed by Roger Michell, the movie is the latest collaboration between the duo who have previously created the critically acclaimed The Buddha of Suburbia, The Mother and Venus together. Like these works, the film (which is screening here at the Museum until October 24) has received great praise for it’s emotive driven narrative and “real zingers” delivered by Broadbent, Lindsay Duncan and Jeff Goldblum.
